H&H supports WARR Hyperloop

As sponsor of the research project Hyperloop of the TU Munich, H&H was invited to the ceremonial unveiling of the new transportation pod (Pod III).
Already in 2013 SpaceX CEO Elon Musk presented his idea “Hyperloop” for high-speed transport by magnetic levitation train in a vacuum tube. The goal of the vision is to shorten travel times by velocities over 1200 km/h. In 2015, the “Hyperloop Pod Competition” began at the company site in California to advance the development of high-speed transport pods and the research of the new technologies. In 2015, the “Hyperloop Pod Competition” began at the company site in California to advance the development of high-speed transport capsules (pods) and the research of associated technologies. At this event, student teams from all over the world compete with their prototypes on a test track of 1 km to crown the best solution. The team of WARR Hyperloop of the TU Munich has already won here twice in succession, most recently in 2017 at a speed of 324 km/h.
According to Musk, a speed of 500 km/h is to be achieved in the tube in July 2018. During the presentation of Pod III, the project participants even spoke of 600 km/h, which they were aiming at.
For this purpose, H&H provides an electronic load PLI6406, with which the battery cells of the pod are tested under constant and dynamic load. We wish the extraordinarily motivated and ambitious team of WARR much success and the necessary bit of luck on their 3rd trip to L.A. to defend their title!
